I came across a very insightful article on the common uses of Use Cases and more importantly how there is a particular requirement that a Use Case is not well suited for: Business Rule Elicitation. The author goes on to describe the nature of Use Cases, and how a business process can become “polluted”, if we use the use case as the only mechanism for the elicitation of requirements. An interesting read.
